ABOUT

CHALLENGE:
50 million people are victims of modern slavery globally. Out of this, 36 million of them are women, with only 0.2% of survivors getting the long-term help they need to restore their lives. Hagar International, a growing non-profit anti-slavery organisation dedicated to helping women survivors, needed to show affluent donors how their contributions can make all the difference in helping women through their journey.

IDEA:
UNBROKEN: We used the art of Kintsugi to restore a shattered sculpture inspired by a real-life survivor – illustrating the strength and resilience of these women. Through this, Hagar highlighted the transformative power of their support in making these women stronger and whole again. Kintsugi workshops for donors further deepened the message and inspired them to act.

RESULTS:
Within only four weeks after the campaign launch, we already achieved 110% of our annual donation target, which translates to 1160 survivors now getting direct access to Hagar’s support. Additional workshops are scheduled across 4 continents to reach more potential donors as our campaign continues.
