About me

I am a costume maker and small business owner. I have three fashion degrees and sewing and costume making is my biggest passion. You can find me behind my sewing machine seven days a week. Besides my education I also spend a lot of free time learning about historical fashion and I have extensive knowledge on this subject.

I run my own business called Camilla Costumes. I run Camilla Costumes all by myself, so I do everything for the business. That includes communication with clients about their costume projects. Research into the costumes; going over reference images and finding the right materials. Doing all the administration, making and sending out invoices, managing finances and communication with my accountant. Designing custom client costumes. Creating the costumes, taking measurements, doing fittings, keeping the clients updated during the process to make sure they are satisfied. Product photography, managing the website and Etsy store and marketing.
Camilla Costumes creates many different types of garments. I have made and designed cosplay, fantasy and historical costumes. Custom undergarments, such as corsets, hoopskirts and petticoats. Special occasion wear, such as prom- and pageant gowns. Wedding- and bridesmaids dresses. Tailoring of blazers, jackets and coats.
