ABOUT

Dr Who is one of the UKs most iconic titles. This year, the series returns after quite the hiatus facing increased challenges - dwindling audiences and negative perceptions.

We created a campaign full of teasers and easter eggs for fan pages to dissect and comment sections to erupt with with chatter: from bespoke stings created to interrupt BBC idents on the night of Eurovision, to disruptive blips on Strictly Come Dancing, hiding binary code with hidden episode names for fans to crack in our teasers, we even launched a 14 hour watch-a-long, the #DoctorDonnaThon.

Millions of impressions, thousands of comments and Dr Who trending on social again. The binary code hidden in our teasers was debated, our launch trailers gauped at generating over 70 pieces of PR from The Independent, The Metro, The Sun, Entertainment Weekly to Doctor Who TV.

The show-runner, Russell T Davies, commented ‘Lo and behold, fanfare and fireworks, a whole campaign by the BBC was unfurled before us, a wonderful piece of work’ in Doctor Who’s own magazine. Positive conversation is up 300%, our Strictly teaser spots gained national PR, our first episode became the most watched drama of the year 24 hours after release.
