ABOUT

When Lebanon was plunged into its 6th revolution, An Nahar, the nation's leading paper, looked to empower women to lead the revolution, and avoid the violence that marked past protests. In a country where the national anthem fails to even mention women, the paper rewrote the anthem to include them. The new anthem was printed on the newspaper’s cover page and the edition was for the first time entirely dedicated to women. It became the chant of the revolution and resulted in a cabinet with a 400% increase in women. A bill was submitted to change the national anthem forever.
