About me
Devaksha Vallabhjee is a creative, working and living in Cape Town, South Africa.
Her career in advertising has led her to work at global network agencies such as Ogilvy, Publicis, and Accenture Song, and independent agencies such as DUKE and Joe Public, delivering award-winning work for brands including KFC, Volkswagen, Mondelez, Coca-Cola Company, and Nando's.
Devaksha also works towards driving diversity and youth empowerment in the South African industry, advocating for a safer and more uplifting creative environment. She has served as a mentor to young creatives at various agencies, as well as formally at the Loeries Student Bootcamp and Open Chair's 'Friends in High Places'.
She has served as a judge for Creative Circle, Loeries and Cannes awards.
With a background in journalism and media, Devaksha still enjoys editorial writing and occasionally contributes to publications such as Daily Maverick and Connect Everything Collective. Her interests include current affairs, social justice and cultural commentary.
