About me

Having worked in a range of different industries in the past whilst completing studies such as retail and hospitality, whilst at university I created a radio show titled Reggae Roots & Bass with a mission statement of promoting uk artists and introducing 'legends' to a youth audience. The show moved to a community radio station, and continued to grow and today the show boasts over 500,000 Soundcloud played, plays unreleased music with exclusives and dub plates and has welcomed over 150 artists and some of the biggest artists in the world onto the show. The show grew by producing content and distributing via social media and continues to grow every week. After appearances in Jamaican newspapers for a Women in Reggae & Dancehall special and 2 National Student Radio awards the show thrives today. Ive also presented and worked on breakfast shows and taken part in outside broadcasts furthermore i have co hosted with other presenters on music shows and commercial radio. I enjoy developing ideas and delivering great results for the show, results can be found by monitoring social media and feedback.

The events industry and club nights are something i also enjoy, having worked with a student nightclub and promotions company and holding charity gigs or music events in the past that have been successful. I have worked my way up from the bottom, selling tickets and putting up posters around town for weekly events to social networking, working in a street team to managing a large amount of staff. Events have lead me to run my own Reggae Root & Bass event in Peckham, south London every month and the brand has stage partnerships with festivals.
