About me
I am a freelancer in translation, fashion and film and tv.
I have been subtitling and dubbing content for film & tv from English to French, for French clients for two years and have an MAs in localisation for film & TV from the université de Lille.
I have experience working as an extra, which I have done for various film and series productions for the last five years, for major studios as well as small productions for friends in the industry. I have also assisted as a runner and a costume assistant on several shoots.
I have worked for leaders in the vintage market such as Preloved Kilo during their events, and am very passionate about vintage fashion. I have been studying and researching vintage trends, sewing techniques, patterns, fabrics, brands and designers particularly from the sixties to the eighties. I am a collector of vintage garments and currently have more than fifty pieces in my collection, which I preserve and have carried repairs on when needed.
Through lessons and self-teaching, I have learned to sew by hand and with a machine. I regularly carry out designing and sewing projects, and have the goal to fully create and sell my designs eventually, or build a career in wardrobe for film and tv.
I am curious, eager to learn, a good team player and passionate about the fields I work in. I'm looking forward to building further valuable experience and gaining more precious knowledge in these areas!
