American Express has delivered unforgettable experiences at music festivals across the globe for nearly a decade. This year, we wanted to help fans experience festivals on their own terms; embracing that what’s old is new again – but with a modern twist. Our first stop: Coachella.

In early April, we launched a global partnership with Depop – a community-powered resale marketplace beloved by GenZ – to give fans access to vintage festival fits and get them excited about circular fashion. Throughout the year, we’ll showcase collections of pre-loved clothing turned festival-wear and highlight ‘Festival Edits’ with select artists. IRL at Coachella, Card Members and their guests explored the Amex Experience, an interactive space where they were transported back to Y2K with digital cameras & an old-school photo lab. Plus, they had access to exclusive BLACKPINK merch, charging and Wi-Fi. Around the grounds, Card Members took advantage of Amex’s spend offer, merch fast lanes, Ferris Wheel perks and a special gift with purchase at BLACKPINK’s merch tent. Also, for the first time ever, Card Members had exclusive access to Coachella merch outside of the festival grounds at the Kimpton Rowan Palm Springs – proving that whether you’re online, on the grounds or even around town, festivals are better #withAmex.
