Dear Sir or Madam,

I am interested in your vacancy for a Festival Production Manager and I would like to submit my application for consideration. At age 13 I began to become very interested in the music industry after I went to my first live concert, as I was so young it was very difficult to get involved. After months of thinking about how to get involved I began to organise my first live event at age 14 which then took place soon after. The event sold out and since this I have gone on to co-direct a 3-day music festival annually which has over 1000 attendees and sells out each year. From a young age I was told by various professionals that if you're not giving an opportunity to work for a large company, be creative and create work for yourself. I believe this has benefitted me and shows my determination and drive to work within the music industry.

Being an event organiser has given me a key insight into many different areas. I began the festival from nothing and had to work on all aspects of the festival such as marketing, booking and law. Although I have played in various bands I've always found my strengths are within the industry rather than as a performer. I believe that I am experienced in many different areas of the music industry and well suited for the company.
