A series of works called "Portrait of a Mother"

The context for these sketches. For those who follow my work but may not know, I was fostered at the age of three. The sketches in this collection represent an adult analysis of the impact of having two mothers in my life: my biological mother, who gave me away, and my foster mother, who took me in. These two women have played significant roles, both in subtle and explicit ways, in shaping my life, and this ongoing body of work is an exploration of my relationship with them.
